Установка «Удаленный рабочий стол Chrome»

Установите программу «Удаленный рабочий стол Chrome» на каждый компьютер, к которому хотите иметь удаленный доступ, и на каждый компьютер, который будет использоваться для удаленного доступа.

Check the status of the Chrome Remote Desktop service

If at any point the Chrome Remote Desktop service is not responding, you can
check its status by using SSH to connect to the instance and running the
following command:

Block Chrome Remote Desktop functionality

To prevent users on your network from remotely accessing other computers or to prevent computers on your network from being remotely accessed with Chrome Remote Desktop, block the appropriate Chrome Remote Desktop URLs.

Chrome Remote Desktop clients include a website (https://remotedesktop.google.com) and mobile apps for Android and iOS. All three use the same service API so blocking it will prevent all Chrome Remote Desktop functionality on your network.

Blocking https://remotedesktop-pa.googleapis.com prevents all Chrome Remote Desktop functionality for both outgoing connections from clients on your network and incoming connections to hosts on your network. Though not necessary if the API is blocked, you can also block https://remotedesktop.google.com to prevent the web client from being loaded.

Enable Curtain mode for Chrome Remote Desktop

You can enable Chrome Remote Desktop to prevent someone physically present at a host machine from seeing what a user is doing when remotely connected. For more information about Curtain mode, see Access another computer with Chrome Remote Desktop.

Steps for all Windows installations:

Note: This feature only works on Windows devices running Windows Professional, Ultimate, Enterprise, or Server.

Using Regedit, set the following keys:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Google\Chrome\RemoteAccessHostRequireCurtain to 1.
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\fDenyTSConnections to .
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\UserAuthentication to .

Additional registry key for Windows 10 installations:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\SecurityLayer to 1.

Important: If your session terminates immediately, you may have missed a step. Make sure you have completed all the steps above.

You can also copy and run the following command from an elevated command line to set the required registry key values and force them to take effect:

Steps for Mac installations:

1. Open a terminal window.

2. Set the default value of RemoteAccessHostRequireCurtain to true using the defaults command for both the current user and root:defaults write com.google.Chrome RemoteAccessHostRequireCurtain -boolean true
   sudo defaults write com.google.Chrome RemoteAccessHostRequireCurtain -boolean true

3. To restore RemoteAccessHostRequireCurtain, delete the key from the defaults for the current user and root:defaults delete com.google.Chrome RemoteAccessHostRequireCurtain
   sudo defaults delete com.google.Chrome RemoteAccessHostRequireCurtain

Improving the remote desktop experience

This section provides instructions for changing settings in order
to improve the remote desktop experience.

Enable Clipboard Synchronization

Clipboard Synchronization allows the contents of the clipboard to be
shared between the local and remote machines. If this feature is not already enabled, do the following:

1. Open the Session Options panel using the button
   chevron_left
   on the side of the window.
2. In the Enable Clipboard Synchronization section, click Begin.
3. Click Allow.

Install the Remote Desktop Chrome app

The Remote Desktop Chrome app provides a separate windowed experience and allows
more keyboard shortcuts to be used on the remote system. If this app is not
installed, do the following:

1. Open the Session Options panel using the button
   chevron_left
   on the side of the window.
2. In the Install App section, click Begin.

3. Click Install.

   The remote desktop session reopens in a separate window.

You can move any remote desktop sessions from a Chrome tab to
the app window by clicking the Open With
open_in_new
icon in the URL bar.

Improve the screen resolution

The default remote desktop resolution can modified to better suit your local
computers desktop resolution.

1. Right-click the remote desktop’s background and select Display Settings.
2. In the Resolution drop-down list, select a different screen resolution.
3. Confirm the new screen resolution in the dialog.

Troubleshooting tips

If you’re having problems with Chrome Remote Desktop, try these tips:

• You need to be connected to the Internet to share or access a computer. If the page won’t open, check your computer’s network settings.
• Antivirus software might prevent you from using Chrome Remote Desktop. If you are having problems using Chrome Remote Desktop, make sure your antivirus allows the following:
  • Outbound UDP traffic
  • Inbound UDP responses
  • Traffic on TCP port 443 (HTTPS)
  • Traffic on TCP and UDP on port 3478 (STUN)
• If the computer being accessed is on a work or school network, it might not let you give others access. For more information, contact your administrator.
• Make sure you’re using the latest version of Chrome or Chrome OS.

Configuring and starting the Chrome Remote Desktop service

To start the remote desktop server, you need to have an authorization key for
the Google account that you want to use to connect to it:

1. In the SSH window connected to your VM instance, add your user account to
   the Linux group and log out.

2. In the Cloud Console, reconnect to your instance by clicking the
   SSH button.

3. On your local computer, using the Chrome browser, go to the Chrome
   Remote Desktop command line setup page:

4. If you’re not already signed in, sign in with a Google Account. This is
   the account that will be used for authorizing remote access.

5. On the Set up another computer page, click Begin.

6. On the Download and install Chrome Remote Desktop page, click
   Next.

7. Click Authorize.

   You need to allow Chrome Remote Desktop to access your
   account. If you approve, the page displays a command line for Debian
   Linux that looks like the following:

   DISPLAY= /opt/google/chrome-remote-desktop/start-host \
       --code="4/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" \
       --redirect-url="https://remotedesktop.google.com/_/oauthredirect" \
       --name=
   

   You use this command to set up and start the Chrome Remote Desktop
   service on your VM instance, linking it with your Google Account using the
   authorization code.

8. Copy the command to the SSH window that’s connected to your instance,
   and then run the command.

9. When you’re prompted for a name for the computer, enter the instance
   name ().

10. When you’re prompted, enter a 6-digit PIN. This number will be used for
    additional authorization when you connect later.

Installing an X Windows System desktop environment

You need to install an X Window System desktop environment and window manager
for Chrome Remote Desktop to use. Common options are:

• Xfce.
  This is a simple, lightweight desktop environment that works well with
  remote connections over slower networks.
• Cinnamon.
  This is a more full-featured traditional desktop environment that will be
  more familiar to desktop PC users. However, it uses more graphical elements
  and needs a fast network to run smoothly.

You can use other desktop environments, but Chrome Remote Desktop does not
support 3D graphics acceleration. If you do choose a desktop environment that
uses 3D graphics acceleration, you need to disable that feature, or the remote
desktop service won’t start.

Regardless of which desktop environment you’ve installed, complete the
installation process by following these steps:

1. Disable the display manager service on your instance. There is no
   display connected to your instance, so the display manager service won’t
   start.

2. Optionally, install the Chrome browser on your instance:

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. In the address bar at the top, type and press Enter.
3. Under ‘Get Support’, click Download .
4. Follow the on-screen directions to download and install Chrome Remote Desktop.

Access a computer remotely

1. On your computer, open Chrome.

For your security, all remote desktop sessions are fully encrypted.

Remove a computer from your list

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. In the address bar at the top, type , and press Enter.
3. Next to the computer you want to remove, click Disable remote connections  .

Give remote support 

1. If someone has shared their remote access code with you, you can remotely offer support.
2. On your computer, open Chrome.
3. In the address bar at the top, type , and press Enter.
4. Enter the code under “Give support” and click Connect.

Use Chrome Remote Desktop on Linux

Step 3 (Optional): Customize your virtual desktop session

When you first connect, you’ll get a default session chooser where you can select your desktop environment. If you always want to launch a specific desktop environment:

1. In , find the .desktop file for your preferred desktop environment. In the file, you’ll find a line that starts with with the command you need to start the session.

   For example, Cinnamon has a file named cinnamon.desktop. In some versions, the file might have the command: gnome-session —session=cinnamon.

2. Create a file called in your home directory with the content: .
3. Replace with the command at the end of your .desktop file.
4. Save the file called . You’ll find this change the next time you restart the Chrome Remote Desktop host.
5. The virtual desktop session is created and starts when Chrome Remote Desktop starts.

Tip: Your desktop environment may not support more than one session at a time. In this case, we recommend that you use different desktop environments for your Chrome Remote Desktop session and your local session, or use the session chooser.

If you use the session chooser, we recommend that you sign out of the desktop environment in Chrome Remote Desktop or your local session before you sign in to the same desktop environment on the other.

Приложение предусматривает два режима работы: режим сенсорной панели, когда на экране отображается курсор мыши, с помощью которого выполняются все манипуляции, и сенсорный режим, когда мышь заменяет палец. Переключаться между данными режимами возможно через меню Chrome Remote Desktop.

В этом же меню можно вызвать клавиатуру для набора текста.

Завершить работу с Chrome Remote Desktop можно двумя способами: либо выйти из приложения, после чего соединение будет разорвано, либо на самом удаленном компьютере нажать кнопку «Закрыть доступ».
