Our Story

Unified Remote is the result of a hobby project by two Swedish students that began back in 2010.
The goal was straight forward — to create an easy solution in form of a remote app to controlling the programs on your
computer through your smartphone. The idea was to create something with a classic look and feel of a remote
control specifically designed for different programs on your computer.

We began with the first release of the Unified Remote, which was an Android app that contained just over 10 remote control
for programs on computer including Spotify, VLC, WIndows Media Player, Power Point, Power etc. After several thousand downloads
in first few days, we decided to continue the project by creating more remotes and for more platforms.

In April 2011, we released the second version of the remote app, this time offering a full version ($3.99) with additional
features while also releasing an improved version of the free app. Unified Remote gained greater success with thousands of downloads of
both the free and paid versions.

The third version of the app was released in July 2014. This time, we focused on making the interface even more user-friendly and
launching support for more platforms. This included our new iOS app and support for controlling Mac and Linux computers as well.

What Does This Privacy Policy Cover?

This Privacy Policy covers the treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) gathered when
you are using or accessing the Services. This Privacy Policy also covers our treatment of any Personal Information that
our business partners share with us or that we share with our business partners.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including but not
limited to any third party websites, services and applications (“Third Party Services”) that you may access through the
Services or to individuals that we do not manage or employ. We cannot take responsibility for the content or privacy
policies of those Third Party Services. We encourage you to carefully review the privacy policies of any Third Party
Services you access.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall UNIFIED INTENTS be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, lost profits, business interruption, or lost information) rising out of ‘Authorized Users’ use of or inability to use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, even if UNIFIED INTENTS has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event will UNIFIED INTENTS be liable for loss of data or for indirect, special, incidental, consequential (including lost profit), or other damages based in contract, tort or otherwise. UNIFIED INTENTS shall have no liability with respect to the content of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT or any part thereof, including but not limited to errors or omissions contained therein, libel, infringements of rights of publicity, privacy, trademark rights, business interruption, personal injury, loss of privacy, moral rights or the disclosure of confidential information.

No Warranties

UNIFIED INTENTS expressly disclaims any warranty for the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is provided ‘As Is’ without any express or implied warranty of any kind, including but not limited to any warranties of merchantability, noninfringement, or fitness of a particular purpose. UNIFIED INTENTS does not warrant or assume responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of any information, text, graphics, links or other items contained within the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. UNIFIED INTENTS makes no warranties respecting any harm that may be caused by the transmission of a computer virus, worm, time bomb, logic bomb, or other such computer program. UNIFIED INTENTS further expressly disclaims any warranty or representation to Authorized Users or to any third party.

What Information Do We Collect?

The information we gather enables us to personalize, improve and continue to operate the Services. In connection with
certain aspects of the Services, we may request, collect and/or display some of your Personal Information. We may
collect the following types of information from our users.

IP Address Information and Other Information Collected Automatically:

We may automatically receive and record information from your web browser when you interact with the Services,
including your IP address and cookie information. This information is used for fighting spam/malware and also to
facilitate collection of data concerning your interaction with the Services (e.g., what links you have clicked on).

Generally, the Services may automatically collect usage information, such as the number and frequency of visitors to the
Site. We may use this data in aggregate form, that is, as a statistical measure, but not in a manner that would identify
you personally. This type of aggregate data enables us and third parties authorized by us to figure out how often
individuals use parts of the Services so that we can analyze and improve them.

Information Collected Using Cookies:

Unified Intents stores cookies for visitors to the Site in order to identify them for relevant advertising through third
party websites, also known as retargeting. Unified Intents also gathers anonymous usage information from our visitors via
cookies for usage with Google Analytics.

Cookies are pieces of text that may be provided to your computer through your web browser when you access a website.
Your browser stores cookies in a manner associated with each website you visit. We may use cookies to enable our servers
to recognize your web browser and tell us how and when you visit the Site and otherwise use the Services through the
Internet.

identify that your web browser has accessed aspects of the Services and may associate that information with your Account

This Privacy Policy covers our use of cookies only and does not cover the use of cookies by third parties. We do not

points may set cookies on your computer.

Information Related to Advertising:

To support and enhance the Services, we may serve advertisements, and also allow third parties advertisements, through
the Services. These advertisements are sometimes targeted and served to particular users and may come from third party
companies called “ad networks.” Ad networks include third party ad servers, ad agencies, ad technology vendors and
research firms.

Unified Intents partners with third party advertising networks to display advertisements targeted to visitors of the
Services. To do so, Unified Intents stores a cookie for visitors for the purpose of displaying advertising also commonly
known as retargeting. The data that is stored and collected is non-identifiable and anonymous.

Unified Intents does not disclose any Personal Information to any third party companies for purposes of partnerships or
advertising.

Aggregate Information:

We may collect statistical information about how both unregistered and registered users, collectively, use the Services
(“Aggregate Information”). Some of this information may be derived from Personal Information. This statistical
information is not Personal Information and cannot be tied back to you, your Account or your web browser.
