Установка сторонних приложений

Удобен способ установки с помощью программы для ПК SammyWidgets. Для способа не важен тип приложения (клиент сервиса, игра и т. д.), не требуется флешка. Последовательность действий для установки на Samsung Smart TV сторонних приложений:

  1. В Smart Hub Samsung создать учетную запись. В строку «адрес эл. почты» ввести «Develop».
  2. Войти под созданной учетной записью в Samsung Smart TV.

Распаковать архив программы на рабочий стол или в корень диска С в созданную папку (для работы программы в ее адресе не должно быть букв русского алфавита).
Для предотвращения блокировки внести SammyWidgets в исключения брандмауэра Windows и антивирусной программы.

Закачать на ПК виджет, которого будут устанавливать на smart TV.
Скопировать его в папку Widgets программы.

Нажать на интерфейсе программе кнопку Refresh (обновить).
Поставить галку напротив выбранного виджета.
Запомнить адрес IP сервера (отображается внизу интерфейса SammyWidgets)

Важно: при дальнейших действиях приложение должно быть открыто на компьютере.

Нажать на пульте ТВ кнопку SmartHub.
Войти в раздел «Разработка» вкладки «Настройка».
В окошко IP адрес сервера ввести значения из SammyWidgets.

Включать режим «Синхронизация приложений пользователя».

Система проинформирует об окончании установки.
Войти на главную страницу, проверить наличие установленного виджета.
Выделить и открыть его.

Request promotion for your apps

Prepare your app promotions and sales to support the request approval criteria.

Step 1. Determine the type of promotion request:

  • one individual app (1 app)

  • more than one app (1 content set)

Note :

In each spreadsheet file, specify only one type of promotion.

Step 2. Complete the spreadsheet file

  1. Download the following spreadsheet file.

  2. In the spreadsheet file, specify your apps to be promoted (if necessary, click Enable Editing).

    Enter the following information:

    Your Name * Your name registered with your Samsung account
    Seller Name ° If not you, the name of the person who registered the apps to be promoted
    App Type * Type of apps to be promoted (Android or Galaxy Watch)
    App Category * Classification of apps to be promoted
    Galaxy Store Badge Click Count * Total of all click counts for all your apps (to be promoted or not) in the last 30 days
    Global Gross Sales * Total global gross revenue for all your apps (to be promoted or not) in the last 30 days
    Global Downloads * Total global number of downloads for all your apps (to be promoted or not) in the last 30 days
    Social Media and Other Website URLs URLs of your social media sites and other website sites (for example, promotion and custom support)
    Comments ° Reasons why your apps should be promoted

    Please state if your apps use Samsung or Galaxy Watch In-App Purchase, or other Samsung optimizations.

    Promotion Type * To request promotion of one app:

    1. Select Single app.

    2. Enter the app’s App Content ID and App Title.

    To request promotion of more than one app:

    1. Select Multiple apps.

    2. For each app, enter their App Content ID and App Title.

    App Content ID ° Unique identifier of the apps to be promoted (12 digits)

    IDs are assigned after apps are registered in Seller Portal.

    App Title ° Name of the app as registered in Seller Portal
  3. Save the file locally.

Step 3. Create and submit a promotion request

  1. In a browser, navigate to the Samsung Developer Dashboard, log in, and click Access My Dashboard > Galaxy Store Promotions.

  2. In the Galaxy Store Promotions page,

    Note :

    Banner promotions are for Galaxy Watch apps only. However, you can use this form to submit a request to promote your Android app.

    fill in the following:

    Subject* Brief title of your request
    Description* Type of app (Android or Galaxy Watch)

    What sets your app apart from those of other designers and developers

    Optional The start and end dates of the promotion period

    ADD ATTACHMENTS Click to attach the Promotion Request Evaluation Data spreadsheet file (browse to the file and upload it).
  3. Click SUBMIT REQUEST.

Step 4. Review the detail and progress of your promotion requests

At the bottom of the Galaxy Store Promotions page, track your promotion requests.

  • Submitted — All information has been provided, and your request is being processed by the Samsung Developers team.
  • Approved — Your promotion will begin in Galaxy Store as specified.
  • Completed — Your promotion in Galaxy Store has ended or will soon end.
  • Declined — Your request was not granted. Please review the reasons in the email we sent you.

Categories

Galaxy Store has a wide variety of useful apps in categories including Watch faces, Health and fitness, Lifestyle, and Entertainment. The Watch facees category has a large number of apps, and has proven to be popular among Galaxy Store users. The Watch faces category has its own intuitive UI style, which distinguishes it from other categories and makes it user-friendly.

When you register your apps on Seller Portal, you can select up to two categories, which help users find the apps they want. What is Samsung In-App Purchase?

Samsung In-App Purchase (IAP) is a payment service that makes it possible to sell a variety of items in applications for Samsung Galaxy Store and internally manages communication with supporting IAP services in the Samsung ecosystem, such as Samsung Account, Samsung Checkout, and Samsung Rewards.

In-App Purchase can be used either to make a one-off payment or to pay for a regular subscription. Items that can be sold through In-App Purchase include premium content, virtual goods such as in-game items, and specific services with different length license terms.

IAP offers an SDK and Server APIs:

  • IAP Helper class and Helper APIs enable you to easily integrate IAP functionality into your app, such as configuring IAP, getting item details, offering and selling items, and managing purchased items.

Four basic steps to selling in-app items

STEP 1 Develop your application using SDK :

STEP 2 Request Commercial Seller Status :

Request commercial status through the Samsung Galaxy Store Seller Portal.Before you can charge for your application or in-app item, you need to request commercial seller status and register your payment information.

STEP 3 Register your application :

Upload your binary file to Samsung Galaxy Store Seller Portal.You can add in-app items only after you register a binary to which Samsung In-App Purchase is applied.

STEP 4 Add in-app items to your application :

Add in-app items and register item-related information:Item ID, Item Title, Item Type, Price, and so on.

Register for a Seller Portal account

To sign up for Seller Portal, click the Sign Up Now button at the middle right of the Seller Portal homepage, and create a Seller Portal account. To provide a mobile or Galaxy Watch app on Galaxy Store, start the sign-up process.
If you already have a Samsung account, log in with your Samsung account ID on the first page of the sign-up process or the gate page in order to complete your Seller Portal sign-up.

1. Terms and Conditions Agreement

To sign up for Galaxy Store Seller Portal, you need to agree to Seller Portal’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Select Type of Member

Select the type of member according to your private seller/business status. Depending on your selection, details of the sign-up fields to complete and the commercial seller request may vary.

5. Sign-up Completion

  1. Once your Seller Portal sign-up is complete, you can register your applications.
  2. If you want to charge for your applications, you need to make a request to change your seller type to a commercial seller. For details on how to make this request, refer to the Commercial Seller Request Guide in Seller Portal.
  3. If you created your Samsung account using a Phone Number ID, log into Seller Portal with the Phone Number ID, and create an Email ID when entering your basic information on the sign-up page. If you created your Samsung account using both a Phone Number ID and an Email ID, log in with the Phone Number ID or the Email ID, and complete the sign-up steps.

To whom do we disclose your information?

We do not disclose your information to third parties for their own independent marketing or business purposes without your consent. But we may share your information with the following entities:

  • Samsung affiliates;
  • third parties when necessary to provide you with requested products and services. For example, we may disclose your payment data to financial institutions as appropriate to process transactions that you have requested;
  • companies that provide services for or on behalf of us, such as companies that help us with the billing process;

Can you access your information?

Under the laws of some jurisdictions, you may have the right to request details about the information we collect about you and to correct inaccuracies in that information. We may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. Galaxy Store includes the Featured page, where users can view selected apps and get recommendations. This page can promote your apps, providing you with opportunities for greater profits and giving users a chance to try out apps.

The Featured page is regularly updated by our editor and displays popular apps in each category, as well as the best of the newly registered apps in Galaxy Store.

The Featured page consists of banner promotions, which display a single app in a banner, and App 3+, which displays three or more apps based around a similar theme.

Companion App Support

Samsung Watch apps can be broadly categorized into two types of apps: companion-type watch apps that need to be synced with a smartphone, and standalone watch apps that can function on their own. For user convenience, Galaxy Store allows users to simultaneously install or uninstall multiple companion-type apps that are registered on Galaxy Store, even if they are smartphone apps that need to be synced.
Note: This feature can be used in the store for Samsung mobile devices and in the store on watch devices.

Enter App Information

This menu allows you to enter basic information such as application title, descriptions, tags, icon, screenshots, categories, and age rating.

You can select Galaxy Watch categories. Please select a category that is suitable for the application. When registering the application in the Watch faces category, all binaries must support the Watch face feature. Select «Watch faces» as a main category for a Watch face application, and select subcategories smanually in the App Information menu. For more details, see Galaxy Watch Studio.

  4. Tap Open once the app has downloaded.

The Galaxy store is a good alternative to the Google Play store with additional apps from Samsung for Samsung devices. Apps such as Amazon Kindle and Workout Trainer for Samsung are a few examples. Register Binaries

  • The Galaxy Watch app type is set based on the criteria of uploaded binaries (Standalone, Companion).
    After registering apps, you can change their app type between Standalone and Companion (Wearable) binaries. However, all registered binaries must have the same the Galaxy Watch app type. In order to register a Companion (Wearable) Galaxy Watch app, you must meet one of the following three scenarios:

    • There is Deeplink extraction information.
    • The IAP feature is used (billing privilege is used).
    • Remote AppControl API and SAP API are used (accessory privilege is used).
  • Select one or more resolutions that are appropriate for the devices you are targeting, and then upload your binary.

  • You can modify the list of devices selected by clicking the Selected Device(s) button. Selectable devices will be listed as a combination of Mobile device and Galaxy Watch device such as Galaxy S6-Gear S2

  • Changing the Galaxy Watch App Type or Price of a Galaxy Watch application will change the Device Recommendation Information.
